Description

The snow foam stage of a wash is one of the most important. It’s the stage which rids your vehicle of any loose grit and dirt that might cause scratches and swirl marks. Treating your car or motorbike to a snow foam before any contact wash allows you to get the most from each subsequent stage thereafter.

The snow foam lance works to create a thick clinging foam by pushing the flow of water through a mix of shampoo-based products. It’s this clinging foam that allows cleaning agents to work for longer, helping to dissolve and rid the vehicle of more dirt and grime than a quick jet wash would. Once rinsed, the paint is prepped in the best possible way ahead of the two-bucket wash stage, allowing much of the cleaning work to be done before having any real contact with the paint.

Made up of ultra-strong plastics, chemically-resistant high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and brass, it’s safe to say it’s been built to last. They come with a 1-Litre bottle attachment, complete with measurements on the side so you know how much snow foam you’re using, along with dip tube and filter. The handy injector offers adjustability to the flow of foam. Simply turn the top-mounted dial to get your preferred thickness. The thicker the foam is, the longer it’ll stay on the vehicle. To create the thick desired foam, our lance requires a minimum flow rate of 400 litres per hour.

And don’t worry about all the different jet washers out there – we have 10 different fitments covering most of the popular makes of pressure washer, to ensure you get the right one for your machine. We have brand such as Karcher, Bosch and Black and Decker covered, as well as others. Simply choose the right connector for your machine and add to your basket. Although your branded machine may be listed, the connector needed for this machine may vary (For example: the Bosch Aquatak pressure washer requires a Black & Decker attachment etc.) Please note that the Karcher Professional Quick Release Gun does require an adaptor directly from Karcher.

To use, unscrew the plastic bottle attachment and pour in the snow foam. Measurements slightly vary on pressure washer flow rate and outside tap rate, so start off with between 100 and 200ml and go from there. Screw the bottle back in, without attaching to your washer, and lightly shake from side to side to mix the solution. Attach to your jet washer – make sure it’s fully locked in before using! Then simply fire it at the car, adjusting the injector dial to your desired thickness. Apply to vehicle from top to bottom, ensuring every surface is covered. Following use, remove the plastic bottle and run the water through the injector head to make sure the system is clear – NOT at the car, obviously. This flush out will help give longevity to the delicate internal wire mesh filter.

Forking out for a foam lance and a good snow foam is a priceless investment. It’ll save you time and money trying to get rid of the inevitable marring and fine scratches which are often caused due to not treating a vehicle to a snow foam in the first instance.
